★★★★★Four Really Nice Scents With Surprisingly Strong Throw
Amazon Customer • Sep 22, 2026
Aredenua's four-candle set of odor-eliminating scents has a nice variety to choose from, with Lemon, Vanilla Cream, Cedar Fir, and Cinnamon Apple. I've used or tried all four using a candle warmer, my preferred way to enjoy candles. I was particularly struck by how quickly and strongly they release their scents - each one begins throwing fragrance as soon as it starts warming, and all four will fill a large room, even traveling into adjoining spaces. Vanilla Cream: In the jar, it smells like sweet cream flavored with vanilla. Once warmed, the cream comes forward a little more, but the vanilla remains distinct. There’s something very familiar about the combination that I can’t quite place - maybe a creamy vanilla drink, and the tiniest hint of coconut. Cedar Fir: Open the lid and this is a nicely balanced blend of cedar and fir. Warming softens the fragrance, with the cedar helping to balance any resinous quality of the fir. Neither scent dominates, and they blend particularly well together. This is definitely for around the holidays and cold weather. Lemon: Initially, this smells strongly of fresh lemon, with a slightly astringent quality that reminds me of lemon-scented cleaning products. Once warmed, though, that quality disappears and it becomes a very straightforward, strong, fresh lemon scent. Cinnamon Apple: First I immediately noticed the sweetness, followed by sweet apple and a mild cinnamon note. Once warmed, bright apple and cinnamon come forward while the sweetness becomes less prominent. Over time, I noticed the scent shifting - sometimes I smelled more apple, sometimes cinnamon, and sometimes both. Regardless of which note was most noticeable, it remained a very pleasant fragrance. The scent throw from all four is quite strong but still natural. For those I just tested, I was using a candle warmer lamp on its highest setting with the lamp positioned fairly close to the candles, so the fragrance may be less intense with a lower setting or greater distance. I had Vanilla warming in my living room/kitchen, then started Lemon about half an hour later in my basement, which tends to get musty during the summer. The rooms are large - roughly 20 x 25 feet and larger. Iin less than an hour the Vanilla scent had traveled to the bottom of the basement stairs. I shut the door leading to the stairs - but got a chuckle out of wondering which scent would win if I left the stairway open. Another half hour later, the Lemon had made its way to the top of the stairs. For odor control, they put out so much fragrance, it definitely covers the problem. Besides a musty summer basement, I only battle food or cooking odors. In a smaller room like a bathroom, though, that same strength could become a bit much. I found a short burn of the candle was enough, though the wax gets a bit of a wonky melt, so I occasionally put it under the candle warmer to level it. Depending on what the odor is, sometimes one session takes care of it. But with the basement, I
